The mandate of our School Council Executive is to work together to make Willow Park a better place for our children and all students. In order to achieve this, the Council requires volunteers to fill a number of important roles. The purpose of these roles is to consult with our school administration and staff to ensure school performance, programs, and priorities meets the community’s expectations. We also use School Council and our Fundraising Society to coordinate special projects and fundraising initiatives that enhance the learning environment for all of our children.
In order to continue to achieve our goals, we need your help!
Our last Council meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday May 16. We will start the evening at 6:30 pm with a special guest speaker, Raquel Ricardez from CMHA, on the topic of Stress Management for Teens. We will start our meeting at 7:30 pm, at which time we will be nominating and electing the Council Executive for next year.
If you are interested in joining School Council or have any questions about roles and their time commitments, please see the attached information. You may also contact us through our contact form. Most positions require a very small time commitment outside of work day hours, and Council is a great way to support the school you have chosen for your children to attend.
We look forward to seeing you on May 16th for our last meeting of the year. Please join us!
Sincerely,
Danielle K. and Karen C.
